Greeting A/B test
The first line decides whether people stay on the call. Try two greetings on the same list and let the results tell you which one works.
Note
Set up a test
Open the AI Agent step
In your workflow, click the AI Agent step. An AI employee must be chosen.
Turn on the test
Under Greeting test, tick A/B test the greeting. A is the AI employee's current greeting.
Write greeting B
Write the alternative under B — try this instead, up to 600 characters. You can use contact fields such as
{{name}}.Start calling
The test applies from the next Start calling. Contacts are split evenly — half hear A, half hear B.
Not sure what to try? Daffy's suggestions in the workflow's Analytics tab can propose a greeting B for you.
Read the result
The Greeting test card in the workflow's Analytics tab compares the two greetings:
- If the workflow has a goal like a payment promise or an interested lead, it compares how often each greeting reaches that goal. Otherwise it compares how often the call connected.
- It only names a winner once each greeting has at least 20 answered calls and the difference is clear (about 95% confidence). Until then it says it's too early.
Keep the winner
Click Use this greeting on the winning greeting. It becomes the AI employee's greeting and the test ends — including for the current run. That AI employee then uses the new greeting everywhere, not just in this workflow. To change it later, edit the AI employee (see Build & edit).
